Dr. Brown has over thirty five years of experience, having provided audiology services to the Cape Girardeau area since 1983. He received a B.S. degree in Communication Disorders and a M.S. degree in Audiology from the University of North Texas, and then went on the obtain the Clinical Doctorate (AuD) in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences, a branch of the Kirksville School of Medicine. Dr. Brown has been recognized as a “Fellow” in the American Academy of Audiology and earned the Certificate of Clinical competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association. He served on the Advisory Commission for the Missouri Board of Healing Arts (State Licensing Board) from January 1995 until December 2000.
He was a founding member of the Missouri Academy of Audiology and served as President as well as other leadership roles in that organization during the past 30 years. In 2013, Dr. Brown was selected by the American Academy of Audiology to serve as one of twelve audiologists to visit and collaborate with audiologists in Cuba.
